DMX alphanumeric is a 5×7 dot matrix display measuring 106mm high. “It responds to single channel of DMX lighting data, displaying a mapped alphanumeric for each value of 0 to 255”. Several units can be grouped together to form a message board featured in props, interactive games, lobby fixtures and displays. A simple DMX show recorder or controller can be programmed to play triggered messages. DMXalpha has been successfully implemented in theatre and opera productions to provide a display that can be operated from a lighting desk.
DMXalpha has modes of operation that are settable via soldered jumpers; single alphanumeric mode, quad alphanumeric mode, pixel mode and remember mode.
